Bruce meets Jeffrey

Here’s my snippet–when Bruce first meets Jeffrey at the bookstore–

He walks out of the bookstore, his head down, thinking of the sudden big hole in his account.  He won’t really be able to take Bara out to anywhere fancy now.  She’s been playing hard to get, and he was hoping to impress her enough to talk her into sleeping with him again—

The next thing he knows, he is sitting down hard on the floor, books scattered all about him.  His first thought is to gather up all that expensive paper–

–until he hears the warmest, most attractive voice he has ever heard, sounding like a cross between Chris Hemsworth and Keith Urban.

“Bugger, mate, I’m really sorry. I didn’t mean to run into you like that. I wasn’t looking where I was goin‘.”

  1. Sounds like neither one was watching where they were going.

  2. No, they each had something else on their minds for sure, but–Jeffrey saw Bruce first ❤ Jeffrey has a certain vibe, a power that he's not full aware of. It's just a part of him 🙂

  3. Aw, I love this! Funny, cute, a little bit sad, and definitely a spark of things to come.

  4. Yes, that’s exactly it–a spark 🙂 Jeffrey filled his head and heart, and he didn’t leave room for anyone else ❤

  5. Karma just walked into him…:)

    1. Karma in the form of Jeffrey 🙂

  6. I like the description of the voice – Chris Hemsworth and Keith Urban, huh? Nice!

  7. Thanks 🙂 I picked two examples of guys that didn’t have too broad an accent because Jeffrey’s been Stateside since college, with sporadic trips home 🙂

  8. Chris and Keith? That combo of voices would make anyone melt.

  9. Ohhhh yeahhhh ❤

  10. I could see that happen and it made me smile… 🙂

  11. Thank you so much ❤ I'm glad you enjoyed it 🙂
